Longitudinal System Analysis (LSA)
The Longitudinal System Analysis, better known as the LSA, is finally done, and was submitted to HUD on January 16, 2026! We would like to extend our sincere thanks for your hard work on the data cleanup. We truly appreciate the time and effort you’ve dedicated to this process and for your prompt responses throughout.
As a recap, the LSA is an annual report produced by Continuum of Care’s (CoC) Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and provides HUD and the CoC with critical information about how people experiencing homelessness use their system of care. The LSA is essentially a massive export of information and includes:
The LSA also provides information about patterns of system use prior to exit, destination types, and, for those who were served again later by continuum projects, lengths of time between exit and re-engagement or returns to homelessness.
Thank you again for helping us ensure this year’s LSA submission was successful!
System Performance Measures (SPM)
With the LSA officially submitted, we are shifting our focus to the System Performance Measures (SPM)! The SPMs are a vital set of standardized measures that allow HUD and the CoC to evaluate the impact of our homeless response system, specifically measuring our progress in making homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. Unlike the LSA’s focus on demographics and system use patterns, the SPM's analyze the entire system’s health by tracking key outcomes like the length of time homeless, returns to homelessness, and successful permanent housing placements. This data is a cornerstone of our federal funding and strategic planning, so we will be reaching out soon to begin the data cleanup process to ensure our collective impact is accurately reflected.

The 2026 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is scheduled for the night of January 29th, 2026 for all three Nevada Continuums of Care. This annual effort provides a vital snapshot of both sheltered and unsheltered individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.
Why does it matter? PIT data helps shape local and statewide planning, supports federal funding, and gives communities a clearer picture of where needs are greatest. It’s one of the key tools used each year to understand how homelessness is changing and where resources can make the biggest impact.
The PIT Count is a true team effort, made possible by outreach workers, service providers, volunteers, and data partners across Nevada. Together, we help ensure that people experiencing homelessness are seen, counted, and included in the decisions that impact them.
Alongside the PIT, we will conduct the Housing Inventory Count (HIC). This report provides HUD with a comprehensive look at available beds and the total number of clients served across these program types:
The HIC includes all programs, regardless of whether they use HMIS. To ensure our community’s data is complete:
What HMIS information should be reviewed?
Helpful Reports for Preparing for the HIC/PIT:
Thank you for your diligence and commitment to data quality, which ensures the success and accuracy of our annual PIT Count. If you have any questions, please let us know by emailing us at nevada-admin@bitfocus.com.

In February, we’re releasing several updates to help your community get the most out of Clarity. Here are some of the key changes you should know about:
See it in action: Join our Feature Focus on February 5th at 10am PT.
Read the details: Check out the February 2026 Features article for a deep dive into these changes.
Try it yourself: These updates will be available in your Training Site starting January 27, 2026. If you need help exploring them, reach out to your Bitfocus Administration team: nevada-admin@bitfocus.com.
We sincerely thank the three Nevada Continuums of Care for their collaboration and dedication during our recent privacy rollout, which successfully introduced two-factor authentication and updated data protocols. To maintain these new standards, please end any legacy ROIs encountered in the system and complete a new three-year version as demonstrated in the video here.
If you are locked out of your account and still need to take Privacy and Security, you can find it here!
Once complete, have your Agency Data Lead forward your email of completion to nevada@bitfocus.com and request reinstatement.
Long Term Project Team (LTPT) meets on Tuesdays at 3pm. If you would like to join the team, reach out to PJ Moore at MoorePau@clarkcountynv.gov. Community feedback and participation are imperative to robust conversation. We need as much input as possible to best serve our community.
Please don't be alarmed if you no longer see the SNV Youth SATT, as it was discontinued by the Youth CE Core Team. This was determined to be no longer needed, given how staff are navigating, assessing, and referring youth. Please continue to assess with the SNV Youth Assessment.
Stay tuned for SNV CE Assessor training in March 2026. Those specific dates are TBD. Please remember that only your Agency Data Lead (ADL) can sign you up for training. You must have an active HMIS account and a training account with switch access to SNV Coordinated Entry. If you need support with that, contact Sarah and Kelly with Bitfocus at nevada-admin@bitfocus.com.
Be on the lookout for more information on Housing Problem Solving Training as it becomes available.
